2. Confirm your email and log in
Complete the registration form, confirm your email, and log in at class-sync.com/admin. You'll land on your dashboard, the hub where you'll manage courses, categories, students, payments, and reports.
Part 2: Plan Your Academy Structure
Before uploading anything, take five minutes to sketch your structure on paper. This is the single best thing you can do to make setup fast.
How ClassSync organizes content
ClassSync uses four layers:
Main Category → Sub-Main Category → Course → Lessons
- Main = the top tabs students see first in your storefront
- Sub-Main = collections that live under a Main
- Course = the sellable unit (what students actually buy)
- Lessons = the individual videos, modules, or files inside a course
Two ways to picture it:
The bookshelf: Main = shelves, Sub-Main = book series, Course = individual books, Lessons = chapters.
The streaming app: Main = the big rows (Math, Art, Tennis), Sub-Main = collections (Algebra, Geometry), Course = a show, Lessons = episodes.
Nothing is locked in. You can rename, reorder, and delete categories or move courses at any time, and your storefront updates instantly.
Choosing your Main structure
Pick the structure that makes it easiest for a new visitor to find what they want. Common options: Topic vs. Level, Instructor vs. Time, Genre vs. Region.
Example: Tennis academy
- Mains: Forehand, Backhand, Serve, Strategy
- Sub-Mains under Serve: Flat Serve, Slice Serve, Kick Serve
- Courses: Kick Serve Fundamentals, Kick Serve Drills
- Lessons: Grip & Toss, Pronation Basics, Contact Point
Example: Math academy
- Mains: Algebra, Geometry, Calculus
- Sub-Mains under Algebra: Algebra 1, Algebra 2
- Courses: Linear Equations Bootcamp, Quadratics Made Easy
- Lessons: Slope-Intercept, Graphing, Word Problems
Example: Yoga studio
- Option 1: Main by Instructor, Sub-Main by class time
- Option 2: Main by class time, Sub-Main by Instructor
Starting small? That's fine. With one course, use the same name at every level (Main = Java, Sub-Main = Java, Course = Java 101). With two or three courses, organize by either level or topic, and keep your Mains to 3 or 4 until you grow past roughly 8 courses.
Part 3: Build Your Academy
3. Set up your categories
In your dashboard, create your Main and Sub-Main categories first, before uploading any content. This gives every course a home from day one and saves you from reorganizing later.
4. Create courses and upload lessons
- Create a course inside the right Sub-Main category.
- Add lessons to the course: label each one clearly, upload your video or file, and choose whether to publish immediately or schedule for later.
- Thumbnails are optional. If you skip a custom image, ClassSync uses a snapshot from the lesson automatically.
5. Connect your payment gateway
Go to Settings → Payment Connect and link your Stripe account for secure checkout. Because payments run through your own gateway, your earnings go directly to you. Do this step before setting prices so everything is ready the moment a student clicks buy.
6. Set your pricing
In the Store section, set how you want to sell:
- One-time purchase for a single course
- Subscription for ongoing memberships
- Bundles to package multiple courses together
You can change your store currency under Settings → General.
Part 4: Make It Yours
7. Design your storefront
Customize colors, backgrounds, and your footer (social links, About Us) to match your brand. No coding or design skills needed.
Image specs to have ready:
| Asset | Size |
|---|---|
| Logo | 135 × 35 px |
| Banner | 1600 × 650 px (static image) or MP4 (video banner) |
| Course thumbnails | 390 × 220 px (keep this ratio) |
Part 5: Launch and Grow
8. Engage your students
Use the built-in FAQ and Announcements tools to keep students informed, answer common questions once instead of fifty times, and build community around your academy.
9. Track progress and performance
Your Dashboard Analytics show enrollments, student progress, sales, and content performance, so you can see what's working and support students who are falling behind.
10. Get help when you need it
- Browse the Help Center for detailed guides and tutorials.
- Email our support team anytime at [email protected].
You're ready. Structure your content, upload your first course, connect payments, and open your doors. Welcome to ClassSync.
